Williamstown Lacrosse Club has fielded junior boys teams for nearly its entire 122 year history.
In 1955 Williamstown won it’s first Under 14 premiership, since that first win we have won countless premierships, but more importantly given local kids a chance to enjoy themselves playing this unique and enjoyable sport. Playing lacrosse as a young person in Williamstown is a right of passage and over the years hundreds of kids have experienced the joys of the oldest team sport in the world and the feeling of playing for the greatest lacrosse club in Australia and, we think, the world! It has also given them the opportunity to travel and play in other States and internationally.
In 2021 Williamstown will field junior teams in:
- Under 11’s (two teams)
- Under 13’s
- Under 15’s
- Under 17’s
To determine age groups, it is the age of the player as at the 31st December. An example being that should the player be 12 on that date you would be eligible for the Under 13 grade.
Training will commence 4rd March 2021 on a Tuesday & Thursday evening between 5.30 and 6.30pm at the Fearon Reserve, The Esplanade, Williamstown.
Games are played at the Fearon Reserve Williamstown, opposite Williamstown Beach and at the Greenwich Reserve, The Strand, Newport.
(Season commencing the late mid-April 2021 through to early September)
All equipment is supplied and qualified coaches will be on hand to teach the kids. Parents are most welcome and encouraged to get involved and enjoy the social aspects and learn what Lacrosse has to offer.
If you or your child are interested in pulling on the famous Navy Blue and Gold get in touch with our Junior Co-Ordinator – Sean Clarke email@example.com
The playing fees for junior lacrosse players at Williamstown are very reasonable when compared with other sports and other clubs. The club committee does everything in its power to keep junior fees to a minimum.
