Williamstown Lacrosse Club has fielded junior boys teams for nearly its entire 125 year history.
In 1955 Williamstown won it’s first Under 14 premiership, since that first win we have won countless premierships, but more importantly given local kids a chance to enjoy themselves playing this unique and enjoyable sport. Playing lacrosse as a young person in Williamstown is a right of passage and over the years hundreds of kids have experienced the joys of the oldest team sport in the world and the feeling of playing for the greatest lacrosse club in Australia and, we think, the world! It has also given them the opportunity to travel and play in other States and internationally.
In 2023 Williamstown will field boys teams in:
- Under 10’s (Minimum two teams. this is generally the entry level grade and is played over shorter, multiple blocks. The day of the week is yet to be advised.)
- Under 12’s (Two teams)
- Under 14’s
- Under 16’s
- Under 18’s
To determine age groups, it is the age of the player as at the 30th April. An example being that should the player be 11 on that date you would be eligible for the Under 12 grade.
Training will commence first week of March 2023 on a Tuesday & Thursday evening between 5.30 and 6.30pm at the Fearon Reserve, The Esplanade, Williamstown. The exact dates and fields will be fully confirmed upon knowing the ground avaliability.
Games are played at the Fearon Reserve Williamstown, opposite Williamstown Beach and at the Greenwich Reserve, The Strand, Newport.
U12-U18 (Season commencing the late mid/late-April 2023 through to late August)
All equipment is supplied and qualified coaches will be on hand to teach the kids. Parents are most welcome and encouraged to get involved and enjoy the social aspects and learn what Lacrosse has to offer.

The playing fees for junior lacrosse players at Williamstown are very reasonable when compared with other sports and other clubs. The club committee does everything in its power to keep junior fees to a minimum.
